Nursing School, Week 1

Forgive me blog, for I have sinned. It’s been 6 days since my last post…
but it’s been for a very good reason: I’m in school! I should go into a lot of boring detail for posterity and all, but that’s not going to happen tonight. Here’s what I’ve learned about going back to school after not being a student for 13 years….thinking makes you tired! I mean, I thought that I used my brain quite a bit, but I guess not!
The good news, though, is that I really feel like that school is the place I’m supposed to be. Yesterday, I was dressed in my scrubs and walking down the hall at the hospital and I just felt like I was in the right place. Does that make any sense?
So anyway, I think I like all my professors; my nursing professors, no doubt. All are great. My A & P lecture professor has a good sense of humor, but she talks too fast. And the jury is still out on the lab professor. I’m sure he’s fine, but he was a bit under the weather during our only meeting. And my English prof, said we can call her my her first name, so that’s always cool.
And I have no Friday classes, also cool.
But about 13 hours of reading everyday…not cool.
And that’s how it goes.
